Flexible Fiber Network Technology Cabin Designed by GPA

Utility box for high-speed internet
Denmark
Gottlieb Paludan Architects has designed a technical cabin for fiber networks that can be set up in different locations. In connection with the rollout of fiber optic networks in Denmark, Ørsted wanted a standardized technical cabin from which main cables can be finely distributed and routed to the individual homes.
The design of the technical cabin is simple and stylish, as it must be able to be set up at different types of destinations. It is clad with specially designed sinusoidal plates in extruded and anodized aluminum. This type of plate is thick enough to withstand vandalism and other physical stresses. The door is 'hidden' in the shape of the cabin, making the cabin appear as an object in the landscape rather than a building.
