Gottlieb Paludan Architects has developed and designed the five underground metro stations on the Sydhavnslinjen line. The latest knowledge about behaviour and technology has been incorporated into the station design.

Mozarts Plads Station is strategically located beneath one of Sydhavn's most iconic urban spaces, helping to strengthen the square's local identity and connection with the rest of Copenhagen. The station is designed to blend discreetly into the urban life surrounding the square and ensure easy access for local residents.

The station's compact design has required technical solutions that balance space conservation with functionality. Wide staircases and clear access routes ensure that passengers can find their way through the station easily and intuitively. Light-coloured materials and open spaces contribute to a friendly and safe atmosphere. The artwork adorning the station is inspired by the unique character of the square and local city life. It emphasises the station's role as a social and cultural hub. The connection to the urban space above is further enhanced by daylight entering the platform through innovative skylights. Mozarts Plads Station is not just a transport hub, but also a catalyst for life and activity in the square.
