The framework for monitoring the new S-train signaling system is in place, with ideal working conditions for operators A new signaling system for the Copenhagen S-train is currently being installed. Siemens is supplying everything from the signaling system itself to the furniture in the new control room, from which Banedanmark controls the S-train and DSB handles passenger information.
Gottlieb Paludan Architects has developed desks, storage furniture and cladding for the video wall installed in the control room in the Traffic Tower, built near Dybbølsbro in Copenhagen.
The starting point for the layout and development of the furniture is the users' physical, ergonomic and psychological working conditions, which have been carefully studied.
