Gottlieb Paludan Architects has achieved the ISO 14001 certification, an internationally recognised standard for environmental management. The certification marks an important step in the company's sustainability efforts.

Gottlieb Paludan Architects achieves ISO 14001 Certification

In October, the international certification company Intertek conducted a comprehensive external audit of Gottlieb Paludan Architects' environmental management system, which also included our parent company AFRY. This process confirmed our compliance with ISO 14001 standards and resulted in the official certification.

This means that Gottlieb Paludan Architects has implemented systematic and continuous work to document and reduce the firm's environmental impact. Through our environmental management system, we collect data on the company’s energy and material consumption on a monthly basis, which allows us to continuously monitor and improve our environmental performance. It also ensures that we have a clear and consistent understanding of our environmental ambitions across the organisation.

The company’s environmental impact is one of two tracks in Gottlieb Paludan Architects' sustainability efforts. The second track covers the environmental impact of our architectural solutions. Our work on this track is structured according to the guidelines of The 1.5C Business Playbook, a tool for organisations that want to adapt their business strategies and transform their practices to support a sustainable future. Thus, we take responsibility for our own emissions and future-proof our client consultancy, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to reduce our environmental impact through concrete, targeted and documented actions.

Many of our clients expect us, as their consultant, to be ISO certified. Our ISO 14001 certification demonstrates our commitment to meeting these expectations and supports our ability to stay ahead of the EU's footprint reporting requirements.
